Hi Guys

I recently built a new rig;

MB: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
CPU: AMD FX-9590 @ 4.7GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
GPU: Asus GTX 770 2GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB 2133MHz
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 512GB
HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB
PSU: Corsair Builder Series CXM 750W

The issue is that when I'm playing intensive games, such as DayZ Standalone, after around 45 minutes of playing the game will crash, the screen will go a black/grey type colour and the only way to clear it is to turn the PC off by holding the button. After checking the temperatures, after about 20 mins of playing the GPU was registering in at 81C which I think it way too hot? Considering the rest of the PC maxes out at about 40-50C.

All drivers appear to be up to date and the PC is only about 1 week old so I can't see it being that it is too dusty. It should also be noted I played Arma 2 absolutely fine.

Any tips?

Well your CPU temps seem fine. 81c is a little hot for a 770, but it's by no means unrealistic. How is the airflow in your case? Do you have all wires tucked, and nothing is impeding the airflow to the GPU? How good are the fans in your case? To me it sounds like your case might not be dissipating heat well enough, and your CPU wouldn't be effected since it's hooked up to that nice Corsair water cooler.

All cables are tucked safely away in cable management as I'm quite pedantic about looks. There is a fan mounted on the rear and a fan on the side of the case as well (As well as the 2 fans for the H100i being mounted on the top). Case is an NZXT Phantom 410 in case you are wondering. Have only noticed it on DayZ, however after several searches I can find no one else reporting this issue. I understand it's not even in BETA yet, but I'd have thought I wouldn't be the only one to experience it.

May also be worth pointing out that the card idles at around 40C, which doesn't seem too bad.

Well I definitely sounds like I'm wrong. If it is only happening it that one game, then it most likely has something to do with the games optimization.
