Can i restore Win7 from a back up after changing motherboards?

I'm upgrading my Gigabyte Z77 mobo to a Asus Z87 pro as well as m CPU i7 3770K to i7 4770K. before i swap them over, can i perform a back up of windows 7 Ultimate and then perform a restore after the new components have been installed? Will there be any boot issues? Or would i have to a complete re install?

its ur choice but upgrading i7 3rd gen to 4th gen is not really worth . yes you can just plug ur stuff and it will start with no problem .

you can get a better graphics card in that price or other stuff . Also mention ur built / rig

Most likely you'll need to re-activate your copy of Windows. Shouldn't be a problem if it's a retail copy. OEM copy is linked to that motherboard and you'll need to contact MS for a new license.
