Hi.

I'm planning to upgrade my PSU. Currently my PSU has 300W.
Here's my System

Intel Pentium E5300 @ 2.60 GHz (2 CPUs)
Nvidia GeForce GT640 2GB (Needs 350W)
3GB DDR2 RAM

Another question..
Will having a 300W PSU slow down my system? Will upgrading my PSU up to 500W speed up my system?

Solution
if the psu couldn't power the gpu it would crash or restart. yes, it sounds weird to get lower fps on the new card, maybe the 630 was from a better manufacturer or the 640 overheats and decreases clocks to stay within limits.

Thanks Blackbird. Will this PSU speed up my system? Cuz when I upgraded my GPU from GT630 1gb to GT640 2gb my framerates dropped.

But my GPU requires 350W and I only have 300W. I think thats the reason why my framerates in games dropped. Or is there another reason why my computer slowed down? I've only changed my GPU, as far as I know..
