So basically i bought MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 and my screen would not display it. It said i had a good signal and i could hear windows boot but i was kept in the dark.

So i sent the card back thinking it was faulty and the store responded saying they could not reproduce the fault. However ever since i plugged back in the old card my screen does not detect it forcing to reboot a 2nd time for it to pick up.

So what is possible causing this now? and what may have caused the original problem with the new card.?

Because the reason i bought the new PSU was to power the 7770.

My PC specs (Acer Aspire m3641) :
CPU - Quad core Q9300
MOBO - Acer MCP73PV
RAM - 4GB Samsung 800mhz DDR2
GPU - Ati 4650
PSU - Corsair 430XM
Screen - Samsung SyncMaster 943NW/943NWX/NW1943/NWX1943

Regards to anyone who can help me

maybe something is wrong with your pci ex port, try cleaning it up a bit with an air blower
