Can anyone explain me how do I disable crossfire in the HD 7990? I am using 13.9 drivers, and in CCC there is no option to disable it. In the (Gaming / 3D Apllication settings / AMD CrossfireX) there is only an option to turn frame pacing on or off, but no 'disable crossfire' option. Also, in RadeonPro I can't seem to find an option to disable it too, and i'm kinda tired of not being able to play games like War Thunder because of that.

AMD has finally released Catalyst 13.12 but I don't know if it will help you. Regard to crossfire, I thought it is for linking 2 separate video card. My son has crossfire two 7850 and CCC has an option to turn on/off crossfire. 7990 is one card but has 2 video chip. Hopefully someone here will be able to answer how to turn off one of the video chip.

Your saying that you can't play certain games because Crossfire is enabled ? What happens when you try to play these games ?

The crossfire option is enabled internally on the PCB. The card has internal solutions for needed graphics power so if it's not being used the second GPU will power down.

I "can" play them, but they are full of flckering, which makes the game unplayable.

yeah the patch came out today. no more flickering on battlefield. but i still get flickering in games like War Thunder... if there was a way to turn crossfire off. it would be pretty cool, but apparently, for the 7990, there isnt...

That's correct , because the Crossfire is done internally and there is a PLEX chip on the card what connects the two GPUs so the combined graphics power can be transmitted over a single Pci-e slot. The cards bios has a special functionality that allows the second GPU to power down when Idle

Maybe the solution is to down clock the 7990 and kind of limit it's power.
