Im getting a BSOD in the middle of the OS install on my nw build. MSI mobo with 120 GB SSD Kingston. Trying to install WIndows on the SSD. Please help!
Take out one of your sticks of ram and see if the problem persists. If so put the ram back into its slot and remove the other stick.
Tried that. It turned out to be a driver issue with the wireless USB mouse. I ended up moving the SSD to a different computer and installing windows there. I still get the BSOD with the wireless mouse though. Amur thoughts?
You wouldn't get a BSOD on a Windows install because of a mouse. There wouldn't be a driver installed yet. If you tried it in a completely different, knowingly working computer, it sounds like a bad SSD to me.
Is your CPU heatsink/fan correctly seated? I would also try the RAM. If you have multiple sticks, take one out, test, then try the other. May be a bad stick of RAM. Also, in your BIOS, make sure you have your SSD set to AHCI.
