At the moment i have a single WD Black 1tb and it is failing and very very loud.

Im looking for a replacement around 100 dollars with a 64mb cache.

I don't know about streaming and recording but it will be great for gaming and tasking.

Would this fast enough for gaming and heavy tasks? Like Streaming & Recording

Why wouldn't you just get a normal Seagate Barracuda and save the money? They are the fastest platter drives out right now and would certainly be up to the task; certainly better for a home system than the SVxx series

WD Blacks I'm pretty sure are faster, but the difference in any case would be small. What I prefer about them is the long warranty. The SV35 does have three years though; many consumer drives only offer two years since the Thailand floods.

The newer 1TB platter Seagates eat the Blacks for lunch when it comes to speed, at 2/3 the price. The warranty is only 1 year, though.

I agree about the speed of the Seagate vs. WD Blacks, however in the USA the warranty on Seagate Barracuda is 2 years and on the SV35 series it is 3 years.
