FIXED
I just bent the tabs a little and then crammed the MOBO in

Hey guys
I've been trying to get my ASUS M5A78L-M motherboard to fit into the case for a ages, but I can't get it to fit because there are some wierd clips on the I/O shield that I won't let me fit the MOBO in. Folding them won't help because that will just obscure the sockets (USB, VGA, etc). I don't dare break the clips off either in case they are needed.
Here's a picture of the I/O (the clips in the way are mostly the ones standing out by the VGA and DVI ports):

Can I just break them off?
Thanks a lot for your help

Just place the IO shield into the case first, then with a bit of fiddling around, you should be able to place the motherboard into the holes. Then just force it onto the IO shield.
