Which motherboard should I use? How much should I spend on it then?

Parts I know I'm using:

AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor

G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

EVGA GeForce GTX 660 3GB

Cooler Master K380 ATX Mid Tower Case

Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular

If you plan on overclocking, I would go with the Gigabyte as it has the 990 chipset, which is overall better for overclocking. If not, just go with the ASUS.

The Asus board can overclock; a bigger difference is whether or not you ever want to run multiple video cards. If so, then you want the 990FX chipset. I would check out an ASRock alternative to Gigabyte, but that might just be a personal preference; neither brand is noted for problems at https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0Ag...
