Alright to start it all off, I'm pretty much a noob with this stuff. I currently have a 1 TB HDD in my comp but I'm going to be getting a 120 GB SSD and a 2 TB HDD. I want to have my windows 7 on the SSD. Also my windows 7 is OEM.

Do I need to take it off my current HDD and then install it on my SSD? Will I have to do anything with my new HDD?

Files, yes. Programs? No!
Applications must be reinstalled for the new OS on the new drive

For the SSD - You will want to have your Windows Install disc and your license number for a fresh install. Make sure your motherboard's BIOS has the storage setting set to AHCI as opposed to IDE. Boot from the disc and you'll have a clean install. The other drive can be formatted through windows.
