Guys im facing a big problem, I have recently purchased an Asus VG248QE, And I have a dead pixel (smooth green but when I play it goes into a FLO green), I have it for a week, and there was some times when I wake up the pixel shows up correctly, but after a while of use it goes back to normal (GREEN), can you guys tell me if this is a dead pixel for sure, or is it fixable? asus wont give any warranty for a dead pixel, so im kinda screwed here.

Appreciate your help!

THanks alot.

this could be a stuck pixel. try massaging the stuck pixel. apply preassure but not too much so you dont break the screen

You have a stuck pixel, not a dead pixel. They can sometimes be fixed (various methods on the internet). A dead pixel is a completely black pixel at all times.

I have a stuck pixel on my monitor as well (bought new, came with it) and tried to massage it, poke it, etc, nothing worked. I've just learned to live with it, and once you get used to it, you can't really tell it's there unless you look for it.

And I believe most retailers and e-tailers have a policy where the monitor needs to have a certain number of dead/stuck pixels before they will replace it.
