Hey there,
New to the website but I thought this would be the best place to ask some questions.

Before you read this, Keep in mind this computer was bought pre built from a Future shop -.-

My computer has started giving me weird issues recently and I will try to explain it as best as possible.
When I play a game like LoL or Planetside 2, after a few minutes into a game i'll hear a loud noise like its overloading or using a lot of power or something, then my screen will go black and the sound will stay on for about 30 seconds before everything completely crashes.

The power is still on the computer after it crashes so I have to hold down the button to shut and restart it. A friend of mine said he had pretty close to the same problem and it was his motherboard. So I've taken it to a tigerdirect and the tech support there told me it could be either my power supply, video card, or motherboard (Not much help really).

Some specs

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5-2310
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6670
1 TB of Space

(I can add more if needed)

I don't really know understand to much what the tech support told me but he said that my processor is an 1156 socket and that they don't make motherboards like that anymore, So i'd have to buy both.

I'm just looking for some help with what could potentially be the problem and if repairing it would be the best way to go, or if building a new gaming pc would be easier. Either choice i'd like to know the best parts to get at a budget.

I can add more info if needed. Thank you in advance :)

Added Info:

Power Supply - 300w Max

a lot of pre built pc to cut cost use cheap no name and low wattage power supply. under load you may be hearing the power supply caps cooking. toss up your wattage and power supply info from the label. if it a 350-400w unit look into getting a higher wattage unit.

Kk without crashing the comp
My core temps said
TJ.Max :99C
Core 0: 50C-55C
Core 1: 50C-55C
Core 2: 50C-55C
Core 3: 50C-55C

GPU temp went from 50C before the game to 75C-90C+ during the game.. IT also sounded like the fan on the video card was starting to overload.. just started spinning much faster

Ok so, I bought a new GPU and PSU.
I bought a GTX 650ti and a 550w PSU for just under 200$.
The temp on the GPU is MUCH MUCH lower than the last so I hope this should solve the problem.
I'm about to start playing a game of LoL to see if everything works without crashing.

I'll update with the results

I bought a Thermaltake SmartSeries 550w, and after running a game of league on max settings I've had no problems at this time.

Seems like its working perfectly.

When I called HP support they we're going to charge me 39.99 just to answer a few questions over the phone, and the Tech support place said that it would take around 4 - 5 days.

You pretty much saved me from a huge hassle.

Thank you!! You really have no idea how clutch you were.

If i have any other problems from now on, I know that i can come here :)

Also, If you play League PM me and i'll get you some mystery skins :)
