Thinking of buying a I7-4770k

I currently have a AMD FX-6350 and I'm not happy with performance I get out of it. So I'm thinking of switching to Intel and I plan on buying a I7-4770k from a microcenter store since they are $249.99. I just want to make sure that since it is only a quad core, it can handle playing games like BF4, Metro Last Light, and Crysis 3 while I'm on Skype and I have Fraps and and HwInfo also running. I tend to run a lot of things in the background but idk if it all supports the HT of the I7

It is about the best you can get and can handle 8 threads at a time and even beats the 8 core AMD's in almost everything! (99%)

Yup, that i7 is a beast. Should be completely capable for your uses. What's your GPU?

4770K is definitely capable of doing all the things you want. My 3DMark score for Firestrike as an example using the 4770K and two 760's in SLI: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1893344

Mainly take note of the Physics Score. I am running it a 4.4 GHz.

I'm running 2 GTX 670 4gb models in SLI.
I play on 1080p at all max settings but games like skyrim and Metro LL I get fps drops because of the cpu. Also how good will it do for live streaming or video recording? Which I use shadowplay from Nvidia for the most part.

And you're absolutely right - the 4770k will destroy the 9590 (which is essentially just an overclocked 8350/8320 anyway).

I am not the biggest fan of that site, especially their rating system. What I do like is the specification breakdown that is located below the ratings stuff. It's funny seeing that the 9590's only perks are higher cores and clock speeds, while the 4770K has a plethora of specs in it's favor.

Idk how good it is though for overclocking. But I didn't plan on giving it a mega overclocked. Just like 4.4ghz since I plan on replacing it with a 8 core haswell e cpu when. It comes out.

That board will do the 4770K justice but you will need a different board for the E Haswell since it is a different socket!

I know I will have to get a new board. That's why I'm not looking at getting a ultra high end one. Plus the layout is perfect for my gpus and sound card
