Hello friends, I had received my new PC yesterday andafter building it everything is excellent.

Its componants are;

1) AMD FX 6300 processor
2) MB ASUS M5A97 R2
3) ASUS HD 7790 1GBOC
4) G.SKILL RAM 8GB (2x4) 2133 dual channel

I tried it with far cry 3 ultra high, anti alaising 8, and it great without any problem

But the problem i did is that I connected my old HDD seagate instead buying new hard drive, Actually this HDD has some problems before and now it gave me many I/O device errors and make whole system are really slow and sometimes hang specially with coping files and and making some noisy sound then restart, after restart the motherboard not reading it at all, so I am planning to buy SSD Drive.

1) which one is good to buy? Samsung or kingstone,....?
2) how can i use the whole benifit from my motherboard? As it has many good options and i am afraid to use it wrongly.
3) the motherboard already at Quite mode by default, if i make it in performance mode, is it harmfull? And is it over-clocking?

Thanks

I would get a samsung 840 EVO.

There is nothing do really do with your motherboard. Its not like it improves performance or anything. just connects the parts.

No, "performance mode" is not overclocking. You muct manually overclock the CPU yourself. It is not for beginners. Nor is it needed for gaming. It is mostly a hobby.

for the hard drive see if it under warranty to save yourself some money. the best ssd is samsung line or intel. with the asus bios set the bios to standard by default and make sure ram using xmp profile or amd version of it. (2133 ram is running at 2133 and not 1333. when you install your os onto the new hard drive or ssd have the mb cd or drivers ready to install. with windows f6 or go into advance mode let window installer read and install the mb chipset drivers and sound and network drivers. asus performance mode is an overclock mode. you should first make sure your mb is stable. (newest bios on the mb) and is running fine. then look online on the right way to over clock amd cpu.

Actually My RAM is running smoothly at 2133, I choose it from mb manualy.
I dont know what is xmp profile??? And how can I make it.

Regarding ssd i found

Kingston HyperX 3K 120 GB
Kingston hyperX with sandforce tecknology, ( WHAT IS THIS TECH.)

And samsung pro and EVO ( WHICH IS BETTER.)

It is difficult which is good specially for games

I'd stay away from the OCZ, they just went bankrupt, not sure if you'd have any warranty support if you should need it....

Motherboard "Quiet Mode" usually refers to the Fan Speed settings, quiet would be slower speeds. "Performance Mode" sets higher speed Fan settings, more cooling but louder. Since you have AMD CPU, look for the "Cool n Quiet" setting it will provide the best overall results.

When you get the new SSD, you'll need to reload the operating system and all programs from scratch. I do Not recommend cloning the existing hard drive in your situation as you mention you had problems with that drive and we don't want to "copy" any of those issues over to the new drive (IF they are software or driver issues....)
