Hello,

My current PC has a lot of trouble running BF4. I'd like to upgrade to have 8 or 16GB DDR3. Here is my current build:
Case: Antec Nine Hundred
PSU: PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad 750W
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 overclocked to 3.4
RAM: G.SKILL F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK PC2-6400 4GB
mobo: p5q deluxe
GPU: 6950 2G
SSD: 60G OCZ Vertex2 (The game will be on a HDD, probably)

I am looking for the cheapest CPU, RAM and Motherboard combo that will not bottleneck the 6950. No overclock, no crossfire. I will probably change the whole computer in 1 year for DDR4.

My current thought (Price are in CAN):
Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3V LGA1150 DDR3 Motherboard MATX 73.47$
Kingston HyperX Black 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Desktop Memory KHX16C10B1B/8 87.96$
Intel Haswell i5-4570 LGA1150 3.2GHz Processor BX80646I54570 210.03$
Total: 364.96$ (I have small rebate since I pay cash)

So, is it possible to go cheaper for the same gaming performance? And will it run BF4 as much as the 6950 can go?

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

With the
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P AM3+ DDR3 Motherboard ATX - 86$

It gets me down to 334$. It is really tempting, I never user any AMD CPU, I heard that intel is better per core, but this AMD has 8 cores, what is the best for gaming?

Also, I forgot, I have a chromecast with PLEX on this PC. PLEX will be doing video transcoding to send to the Chromecast, will either of these CPU will support this without any problem?

Thanks

Ok I think I would go with the fx-8320.
For the motherboard, I don't need the crossfire and only need 2 DDR3 slots. Is there another motherboard that is cheaper but still had solid base feature set for gaming and transcoding HD videos?

I did some research and it seems that GA-970A-DS3P have some difficulties with the 8320 (May need a FW update before it can work). I will go for the 4570 because the single thread performance is way better. Thanks for the help!
