Deleted PATH in environment variables in windows 8 by mistake

I accidentally deleted the PATH variable in "Environment Variables" by mistake. It hasn't effected my system yet, but I am concerned that it will. Is there any way to restore it?

Doing a system restore will correct it.

Select a restore point from before you deleted the setting

I tried doing a system restore, it just returned an error.

What was the error?

It seems the default path starts with C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;
though certain installations may add more stuff to it

The error just stated that the restore could not be completed. It gave a suggestion to disable the antivirus software (I am using Kaspersky) which I did, and then tried again, and got the same error.

do you know that for a fact? i just did a system restore to well before my PATH got damaged, and the PATH is still damaged.
