Should I be worried about this?

I'm sorry if this isn't the correct category but I must ask. I recently contacted Silverstone tek U.S technical support about purchasing anew window for my Raven 2 case since the one on mine is scratched. They told me to email them about it to finalize the order. So I emailed them about my request and the guy told me to give him my shipping and billing address via email and then to call him to give him my credit card number. I did just so but while I was calling him I felt a bit strange. It was just the way he asked me I guess. He just asked for the number expiration date, and cvv and that's it. Then he just told me I will have it shipped on Monday. When I asked him how much the shipping will be he said he doesn't know. I just get a bad feeling. It didn't feel like a professional business call. There was no automated robot to greet me or anything and I feel as though the entire Silverstone customer support is run by 2 guys. Should I be worried about him doing something with my credit card?

did you actually call silverstone? If you did there is nothing to worry about. If you called someone random... Well...

There isn't any credit card info besides number/date/csv. What other credit card info did you want him to ask for?

Scammer would have just told you to email him the number anyway

Yes I have a Nexus 5 running android 4.4.2 so whenever I call a business there number pops up. Sure enough when I called silverstone the caller I.D showed up as SilverStone Technology

I would have thought he would ask for the name as well and what type of card it is. I guess he just assumed it was visa. Also no email confirmation after the call or anything like that.

Almost every website identifies the card type based on the number. You don't need to tell them what kind of card even a website can auto ID it. And I assume you have your name when you contacted them or as part of the shipping address.

You have to realize you're not ordering part from a retailer. You're ordering from the manufacturer. They don't have ordering systems and automated emails set up because they don't actually sell to people. They rarely get a request for a replacement part and they handle it however is cheapest. Usually that's over the phone with a CSR. Makes no sense to have an offerings system for customers

Nope I didn't, I accidentally left that out when he asked me to email him the address. If he were to try credit card fraud could they do it without knowing your name?

That actually makes a lot of sense. I guess I will just wait till Monday to see if I get any sort of tracking info and also keep an eye on my credit card charges just to be on the safe side. Thanks a lot to everyone who posted in this thread!
