Hey guys, Im thinking about getting an ssd soon and would like to know some things before I get it.
If any of you would be so kind to make a list of steps of what to do I would love that! Right now I have a 1tb hdd in my rig. It has win7, all my programs, yada yada yada. What I want to do is set the ssd as the boot drive, transfer steam games from the hdd to the sdd ( http://goo.gl/EqvqZ3 ), wipe the hdd and use it as a storage drive while the ssd will hold the important stuff. TIA

Solution
some ssd like samsung unit have data cloning software with the drive package you buy. the easy way is to unplug the hard drive power and then install windows 7 on the ssd then turn the pc off when all the drivers are installed and plug the hard drive back in. then move your personal data to the ssd or usb stick then reformat it. most stream games can be re downloaded.

After I do this will the hdd become an untouched drive ready for use? Everything will essentially be gone from the drive bringing back any used up space?
