Well if I may leave some suggestions here:
For the motherboard, you definitely want to go with a 970 chipset. I would recommend 990FX chipset over 970 chipset, but with your budget it's probably not a good idea. A good motherboard would be the ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2 for $100 at PCCaseGear.

For the psu, they are pretty expensive in Australia. You definitely want a high quality psu, so brands matter here. I've worked with enough Australian builds to realize that Antec psus are typically the cheapest and best option here. You may want to look at the Antec HCG520, but 520w may not be enough if you ever plan to upgrade to a higher end gpu. The Antec HCG620 can handle any upgrades, but it's definitely more expensive.
Looks great. You want to make sure that the RAM is two sticks of 4gb, not one stick of 8gb. That way you can utilize dual channel memory.
Also, for the case, you might want to consider some other options. The CM HAF 912 was a great case, but now it's just out-dated. It's still good, but there are better options for the price. You might want to look at the Corsair 200R, Corsair 300R, or the Bitfenix Shinobi.

Thanks for your advice :)

Glad you liked it! As for the RAM, I forgot to mention that it is indeed 2x4GB.

Btw, I think you were meaning to say you were in agreement with realchaos.. haha ;)

And yeah, I might end up changing the case, not sure yet. Not entirely sure what motherboard my friends are going to put in. They are very experienced builders so I'm guessing it's going to be fairly good for the budget and performance.

Thanks for your feedback too :)
