Hi there,

Please excuse me as I admit I am a tech noob and sometimes try to do things myself and apparently fail a lot.

A while ago, I installed a new SSD and reinstalled windows on it. I removed the other hard drive, so this is the only one in my computer right now. To install it, I took out the cables from the hard drive and put them on the SSD instead. I didn't change any settings on my BIOS and I didn't move where the cables connected to the motherboard.

Now my computer will keep freezing. No blue screen, just everything freezes and the only option I have is to restart. Can anyone help me troubleshoot my way through this? I know it could be any of a number of issues, but I'm not even sure where to start...

My components are:
Intel I7 2600K processor @ 3.4Ghz
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO Motherboard
SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W
Seagate 600 Series ST240HM000 2.5" 240GB SATA III
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
8 GB of Ram (I think it's G.Skill, but can't find the exact model name)
