Hi, this is my first post on this website.
3 days ago today, while attempting to run the Gamecube emulator called Dolphin, my GPU has begun to overheat and crash my computer (more specifically- screen goes black or all windows freeze. For almost a year, I have been able to play any Dolphin ROM I wanted with no issues. I've also played games like Skyrim, WOW, Diablo 3, DOTA, and a few others on medium to high detail with no issues.

My computer's specs are-
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
System Model: Studio XPS 8100
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8152MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 545
Display Memory: 4048 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1488 MB
Shared Memory: 2559 MB
Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

I purchased my computer in 2009. In 2011 I upgraded my GPU with the one listed (can't remember the stock card). About 3 weeks ago I upgraded my RAM from 4GB (four 1gb sticks) to 8GB (two 4gb sticks). I haven't tried running Dolphin since I upgraded my RAM until 3 days ago which is when I started experiencing the problem. Currently, no other games cause this problem and work just as they have since I first upgraded my GPU.

My question is- What could be causing this and does anything stand out that would cause the problem? I am willing to upgrade my GPU once again if it will resolve this issue but could use some advise as to what would be a sufficient upgrade.
Thanks for the help and any advise is appreciated!
