I have been having difficulty with my asrock z77 extreme4. I got my cpu in and my 212 evo cooler. I have an nzxt phantom 410 case. I have also installed my psu, hdd, and optical drive. Now i need to begin plugging things in. I am not sure where to even start. i need some help to know what goes where..
also, i bent one of the miniscule prongs on the back of the mobo. like just one of those tiny little things. is that going to affect my motherboard?

Putting together a computer does take a little study. There should be a detailed guide that came with your mobo. Go over it several times and see if you can identify the components on your actual mobo. I'd try to go with the steps outlined in the guide. That way it gives you sense of progress.

I don't know what you mean by a miniscule prong. You should try to find out exactly what it is. If it's not identified in your guide, can you describe it a little more for us? Can you find a tiny description next to it? What is it next to? I would get some tweezers and just straighten it.

The prong is just a small metal piece on the back of the mobo. There are hundreds of them. This one is in the middle left side of the mobo. It has a little round ball on the end of the piece of metal as do all the others. There are only 2 of these prongs next to each other in this spot. The one I bent is at about a 45 degree angle and I am afraid to bend it back bc it is so small. Will it be okay? Also, I read my manual. I am still unsure of where certain connectors go, and what slot to put them in because there are usually multiple slots

Sorry but it's not easy for me to give you more advice since I don't know anything about your mobo. Multiple slots of_the_same_type usually means more device support, such as USB, SATA, so in this case it probably doesn't matter which one you use.

Hope you'll be able to let us know your progress.
