I've been looking around, and most every website says that the NVIDIA GTX 780-Ti 3GB is better than the GTX Titan 6GB. I was wondering, where power usage, heat, and cost is obsolete, which would be the best GPU, if you're only running one at a time. Thanks!

Gtx 780ti is the strongest single gpu at the moment. So I would choose EVGA gtx 780ti over titan, considering it's price and performance.

For graphics it's 780 ti but I'm pretty sure the Titan still owns compute performance

Yes, you are right. Because of it's 6 gb GDDR5 memory it's ahead in compute performance. But gtx 780ti compute performance is also more than enough.

I run Two titans in SLI, i think the real advantage with the titan is only if you are running memory intensive programs, or running multiple monitors.. i run 5760x1080 for alot of my games. That is where the extra memory comes in handy. However, the 780ti is faster and cheaper.

Like everyone else has mentioned, it is dependent on what resolution you are playing at and if you will be only gaming or doing some workstation stuff, too.
