Looking for a glossy monitor.

I have been looking at upgrading from a 1050p monitor to a 1080p monitor and I had a few questions, and would also like some suggestions from the community. My current monitor is an HP w2007

First question is: Is it really with the jump? I love my monitor, and it looks great. I've had it for 6 years now, and I'm not sure how much longer it will last. 1050 to 1080 doesn't sound like much but 1680 to 1920 seems more significant. I'm just not sure.

Secondly: IPS vs TN. I'm a gamer first, movie watcher second and (very) amateur photographer third. I maybe spend 6-7 hours a month on photo editing, so it's not that big of a deal. My questions are primarily about gaming and movie watching. Does IPS provide any benefit in those areas besides a bit better colors?

Thirdly: Size. My current monitor is 20.1 and there seems to be plenty of room on my desk, but I do have a lamp and some other things on it. I usually sit about a foot away. (I know, I'm horrible.)
What size do y'all would think would be good for me? I was thinking 23, and possible 27", but I don't think I could handle bigger than that.

As for recommendations, there is something I really like about my monitor that I haven't gotten to yet, and that is that it's glossy finish. I hate matte finish monitors. It just seems ugly to me in most situations, and the glare on a matte finish monitor bugs me infinitely more that that on a glossy one. This is the biggest thing to me.

Also viewing angles are kind of important to me. I like to lay on my bed and watch movies, and my current monitor has really bad viewing angles for that.

Lastly is refresh rate, and this one's simple. Am I gonna be able to find a monitor with 120hz refresh under 200$ or is that just not in the realm of possibility yet?

So any recommendations and information y'all can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.
