I hooked my pc (my room) up to my hdtv (living room) and want to be able to access it from there directly instead of running back and forth (for playing songs/movies/etc.). I'm thinking of getting a wireless keyboard and mouse, running two usb extension cables (about 30 feet each) to the living room from my pc's ports, hooking the devices' wireless transmitters (or whatever they're called) to the ends and laying them on my entertainment center, then letting the wireless signal travel the remaining 10 feet (to prevent tripping). Is this a bad idea? For example, would the length of the cable prevent proper response times from being achieved for the purposes of gaming? if there is a better solution, please let me know. Thanks.
These are the parts I am (so far) planning on buying:
