What is the difference between these SSDs?

I can't see what the difference is except for price. Gonna be using it just for my OS and programs so it will really only affect the time in which Windows boots up/shuts down and how fast programs launch.

the more has the desktop kit included while the other doesn't...both are the same ssd.

enables you to mount the 2.5" ssd to a hdd case.

basically it converts the sdd to fit the size of an hdd. makes it easier to mount if your cabinet does not have support for ssd.

With the cheaper one, would you have to get a converter bay?

well if you cabinet supports ssd, then you don't have to.

what cabinet do you use???

By cabinet I assume you mean case. I am getting a Carbide 300R so I won't need te converter tray since each bay has built in features to take both 3.5" and 2.5" drives.
