Hello there, i am trying to find out if my psu can handle overclock, currently i tried overclocking my MSI r9 280x to 1120/1500 @ 1.2v, but it can't seem to handle it, I tried lowering it down to 1110/1500 @ 1.2v but still the same result. the question is, will my psu handle all these overclocking? NOTE: my i7 3770k is also overclocked to 4.5ghz. thanks in advance

it is recommended to have a 600W PSU for a single R9 280X system, and that is without any overclocking on anything. Since you are overclocking your CPU and now attempting to overclock the GPU, I'd say your current PSU just isn't enough. There is a power calculator on the page I linked that may help you figure out your power requirement. If you decide to get a larger wattage PSU, remember that the current ratings on the individual rails are just as important as the overall wattage rating. Stick with quality manufacturers such as Seasonic, XFX, Corsair (except the CX series) or Antec for your new PSU.
