i have built a new pc out of some bits n bobs and i have a core 2 duo cpu 3.2 ghz and a gtx 650 ti gpu , will it bottle neck ? if so how badly and would it be worth downgrading my gpu or waiting till i get enough money for an i5 mobo and cpu bundle?

intel core 2 duo e8500 3.16ghz

will it bottle neck my gpu badly to the point of needing a less powerful gpu till i get the money for an i5 mobo bundle/ amd fx6300 mobo bundle? because i am planning on getting the better parts but it will be sometime, im also waiting on a 700w psu so i cant tell if the core 2 duo rig bottlenecks yet

i do not have the psu yet , but im getting an ocz modxstream 700w , the whole reason im asking is because i dont have a psu to run it yet , also i will be getting either an i5 bundle or amd fx6300 bundle , i just dont have enough money for them at the moment ... im poor

Don't buy OCZ, they filled bankruptcy, so you might not get the warranty. Intel/AMD both will do, buy the one your budget supports. And what is the budget for PSU, so that we can suggest you some.

700 watts for the GTX 650 ti ? That's too much. 400- 500 watts would be good enough

This should be your goal

A stronger GPU would be a good idea too.

about £70 , it has to be about 700w and have a 24pin mobo lead and a 6 pin graphics card power

ive found an amd fx4100+mobo+ram for cheap so im getting that , and i want a 700 watt psu so i wont have to worry about buying a new one if i decide to get more powerfull upgrades

You won't need it. Nvidia and AMD always state more than what is required for the PSU. They do that just in case some poeple buy a lousy weak PSu that doesn;t actually provide the stated wattage.

The GTX 760 , which is quite a big upgrade works with the CX500.
