So as the title says, I need help for my new upgrade this christmas. I have been doing some frequent upgrades to my computer attempting to get rid of the terrible pre-installed hardware I had bought. I am putting this thread in the motherboard section because it is the one I am not very sure of what to upgrade to. Here's my current build with my current thoughts of upgrades.

-i7 3770 @3.4GHz

-MSI GTX66ti PE -------> EVGA GTX780http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130918

-Asus VG248QE 1920x1080 Monitor

-Corsair CX600 psu -------> EVGA Supernova NEX 750 B http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438007&nm_mc=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r&cm_mmc=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r-_-Power+Supplies-_-EVGA-_-17438007

-Carbide 500R case (Recently upgraded)

-12gb ram (Not much info for these, they were pre-installed)

-2TB HDD (Also pre-installed) Thinking of getting an SSD but not sure.

-Acer Motherboard (Pre-installed) http://www.game-debate.com/motherboard/index.php?mot_id=1410&motherboard=Acer%20Predator%20G3620 --------> Asrock Z77 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293

Most of my usage will be in very long sessions of gaming and sometimes recording/editing videos for Youtube. Please help, anything will be much appreciated.

Oh yeah... ASRock make good motherboards, same with Asus, MSI, never been a fan of Gigabyte just because of bad personal experience. Does it fit your needs, two PCIe 3.0 slots, good memory support and had great reviews.

Your processor for gaming will be good for awhile yet. I have not heard pleasant things about the CX line from Corsair, you have more than enough ram. Most bang for your buck for gaming would be a video card. I recently put a SSD in my new build and will admit the OS seems snappier, as far as gaming though it made no noticable difference.

The GPU is what I am most concerned about but the motherboard is in need of an upgrade more than any other of my components, it is very bad with no future capability of doing SLI.

Yes, but if you look at what I asked, I said I needed help with picking out a motherboard, I am not completely sure if the Z77 is good enough or if there's a better alternative for the price.

Ha ha, will do. Hopefully I won't have the same experience as last time with the power and reset switches.... 3 hours of pain with no manual for the mobo.
