Why is the mac pro $3,000

Curious why the Apple Mac Pro is priced at the low end at $3000. Granted it's an Apple but would like to understand why it is a better computer that any of the other laptops for the price. Whether you won a Rolls or any other car they get you from A to B. I started with Apple but the industry I worked in was dominated by Gates and the variety all seem to get the job done.

Because these are built with Xeon server class CPU that Intel sell for ridiculously high price. Guess you cannot expect a car with a V8 to be as cheap as a 4 cylinders.
