This just came up out of nowhere 3 days ago. My system specs are my signature if you need to know just in case I didn't lost all my storage devices on there I also have two HDDs at 250GB with that 256GB Plextor One day I'm playing my game like normal on my pc. It starts acting up and suddenly its lagging like crazy so i figure i played too long and maybe its time to give my pc a break or they're servers are crapping one or the other.
I turn off my pc and start it up and it loaded just fine only I couldn't open anything it was painfully slow even slower than running on an HDD 7 years ago. The darn thing during load i guess finally freezes and well i cant even open up my task manager.
I am forced to do a hard shutdown. I restart my pc after a min or so and load up in Ubuntu on one of my HDDs instead (one i use to just learn about Ubuntu and see how far its come along i almost never start up in it its just for the learning curve) it worked perfectly fine I mean no issues and it was by far faster even being on a simple HDD. So i figure ok maybe a simple system occured. I did a proper shut down from Ubuntu then turned on my pc after a min or so and well then the bootmgr came up and now nothing works.
I have tried everything on google and from other articles on tomshardware but no other person has experienced getting a bootmgr like I have. I confirmed the drives get power so i ruled out the PSU. My mobo in my bios recognizes all storage devices in their proper order so i ruled out the mobo. Ruled out sata cables and sata ports on the mobo as well as I had plenty of ports and cables and still nothing. I thought maybe my SSD just died so lent it to a friend and he downloaded the Plextool he says Plextool wont even recognize my SSD.
So of course now I'm angry like ready to go into a Marine rage right now. I tried using the install disc of windows and it doesnt read at all. My gf has a win7 upgrade disc and THAT for reasons I dont understand starts up in my optical drive?! I'm thinking now I'm getting somewhere well I was wrong. It won't even format anything AT ALL it won't read the SSD only sees the HDDs i mean i swear this is just nuts already!
Anyway if theres anything left to try other than calling Plextor and pulling that 3 warranty on it please let know if there anything left to try cause honestly the guy who helped is by far more expereienced than i and i am not new to PCs at all my self hell I've with stuff on a military level but never had an issue quite like this one. I've tried all the troubleshooting I can think of. If there's anything else please help?
