So i am planning to change my Older Graphic card (Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT) to a newer one. (Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 ti). i read some forums and browse the net for a search of an answer on how will i install a new g.card to my PC. I have this simple answers like "uninstall your old drivers, shutdown you'r PC, install new g.card then install the latest drivers. Since i'm not really an expert on my computer, i was wondering if there are additional requirement/s for installing these new kind of Graphic Cards. Maybe changing my Power supply or my RAM's? i don't really know :/  Thank you in advance :)  Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you :)

^+1 GTX580 is a power hungry video card and may need a better power supply.

You'll need a decent 550W PSU. What is your current PSU (power and brand)?

GTX 660TI and GTX 580 will be bottlenecked by the CPU. It'd be best to go with something in the range of 7770 - 7790 - 650ti boost.

Keep in mind that wattage isn't everything. There's a lot of difference between generic PSU and a quality one.
