I've been wracking my brain trying to remember the name of this old Windows game.
Unfortunately I don't remember much, except that it started out where you were sitting in front of a computer and it was storming outside. It was a click type adventure game and you somehow got transported into a magical world and had to figure out challenges.
There was one challenge where it was "the door is ajar" to which you had to put a jar next to the door in order to get past that screen.
If anyone has any clue what this could be I would greatly appreciate it!

More aboutfinding game
Uhh... not sure it was really for windows... but I remember this game "Another World" (a.k.a. Out of this world) where you arrive to your home in some sport car, its raining, you sit in front of the PC and then get teleported to the magical world, then get haunted by a lion, etc etc.
Hope that one is the one you're looking for
Nope, that isn't what I'm looking for, but thanks! It was definitely for Windows and pretty sure it ran on either Win 95 or 98.
Companions of Xanth was the game in question. It wasn't developed for Windows, but DOS. That didn't mean that the game wasn't running on Win 9x, but at the tome of it's release, Win 3.1 was it.
