This is my first ever post, and I am hoping that I am in the right place. This is my first ever build and any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
So starting next week I am moving from a large corporate job with Dell towers and Lenovo laptops everywhere, to a smaller business where I have more seniority. After some thought, I decided that it would be both cost effective and fun to build my own PC for my new Senior Video Editing position. I have done some reading over the last few days and hope that your minds can point me in the right direction.
I am looking to spend around $1500 (not firm, but just a tiny bit flexible) and it does not include operating software or monitors, etc. Just the tower. I think I would like to go with the new Haswell Intel chips, but thats just my opinion after my research. This is strictly for Video Editing, nothing more. I plan on running two monitors as well, in case that matters.
So if anyone is up for it, I would love to know what the best setup could be?! Also, if you have some general advice too, like don't buy this or be sure to get tons of RAM, etc, that would be greatly appreciated as well.
