Hey guys,

I am thinking about upgrading from my 6670 HD to either a 7950 or a GTX 760 but I'm not sure if my current system will bottleneck the the new GPU. I will definitely need a new PSU but would like to know if the CPU and/or MOBO will be able to handle it the new GPU.

Current specs -
AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz
GIGABYTE 78LMT-USB3
RADEON 6670 HD 2GB
KINGSTON 16GB RAM
ACE 500W PSU

I'm not sure on my budget yet but I think it will be around £300, maybe as much as £400 (depending what needs to be upgraded).

Help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

You will be fine with your processor, buy you will need a quality PSU - I've never heard of ACE, but maybe I'm not in this stuff long enough.
You should get anything with 500W and more power with 80+ certificate from Corsair, SeaSonic, Zelman, Antec brands..

Was thinking about getting a Corsair CX600. I assume that would be enough power to deal with either card?

One more question, out of them two cards, which would you recommend? Or are there any others around £200-250 that you would recommend?

Thanks for your quick reply anyway!

Even it doesn't have 80 plus efficiency, I think It will suffice as the card is using up to 150W max:

As for those cards, I would personally go with 7950 because It has got 3gb of memory and 5ghz memory speed. The geforce has 2gb and 6ghz memory speed.
Each card is really good and has it's own ups and downs.
As for some other cards:
