I recently build a budget gaming pc..Here are my pc specs

i3 3220 3.2ghz
sapphire hd 7870xt 2gb
seasonic m12ii 520 watt
wd caviar blue 500gb
asus p8b7m-lx
corsair vengeance 8gb 1600mhz

before I installed the new amd beta drivers(amd 13.11) , my computer was running buttery smooth but after i had installed the new amd drivers my screen totally blacked out every few hours and i had to restart my computer and the cycle continues...i decided to reformat my hard drive and install a fresh new copy of windows 7...after which i installed all my motherboard drivers and decided to install a non-beta amd driver and now everything seems to run very smoothly

p.s. my gpu temperatures were fine when i had the beta drivers but my graphics card usage was at 99% even at idle when i had the beta drivers

the problems you were experiencing was because of the beta drivers. beta drivers are made for testing purpose only and most of the time contains a lot of bugs

I don't install Beta drivers and will wait for WHQL drivers to be released and yes bad drivers can cause problems.

Next time you update drivers for GPU you better use driver sweeper/DDU.
All 13.11 betas didn't crash my PC, worst I got was driver crash after dirty installation.
13.12 is really good!
