MY COMPUTER SOMETIMES RANDOMLY COMPLETELY LOCKS UP AND I HAVE TO HARD RESET I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE ITS COMING FROM ITS A NEW BUILD AND DIDNT HAPPEN AT FIRST Although i did make a lot of adjustments to the compuitetheirafter both in terms of software and hardware and than this issue occured.

memtest no errors, prime 95 blend test no crashes, and BIOS/drivers fully updated. i dont know if its lionked to this but when i first built the PC and tried installing games i had a lot of missing dll errors and such.

anmy help would be appreciated i really dont want to go and reinstall windows and all my programmes to just find out the problem still exists which im thinking might end up happening.

The earliest restore pointive got is from a few weeks ago - I've been making a lot of software changes.

anyother suggestiongs, im literally thinking of just doing a new fresh install and trying to find all those dll files is going to be such a headache, i took out the extra ram i put in thinking that may of been the issue, but it froze again which is pretty weird doesnt happen this quickly so its definitely not that new ram.

If you can actually get into the computer, press the "super" key and R to open "run" and then say "regedit". Find if there are any recorded errors in the logs, it might help you fix your problem.

LOL,
I cant believe I made that stupid error, I meant go to "Event Viewer" and check the logs there, you can find it by searching in control panel. Sorry, was answering two questions at once.

thx but what would i do with this, ive read their it says the computer has had acritical error of not shutting down correctly, and their would always be a prior event log in the list before the critical error which says the same thing about the dodgey shutdown caused by me hardresetting the PC, i trieed getting more info by clicking on getting more information from sending the information online but it didnt work and says no results found

Could you take a screenshot/copy paste what it says in the errors, try googling what it says too.

ive decided to do a fresh windows install on my second harddrive but im getting some issues i had quite a few of them last time but i dont knwhat i did to fix them.

basically games have different errors trying to run them from, not even opening when clicking them to just saying it doesnt work without a reason. last time i remember it was the fact that i didnt have directx or c++ but its still not working???

can someone also please answer if all these issues im getting as a newbuilder is just me or a common thing?

then on your fresh install you have to check if the os is up to date with the directx and also the net framework including java and flash ,did you also check for all the driver and if they where any patch from the game that shouls correct some bug .
