What motherboard(s) can I use to upgrade an HP 2000 notebook with an AMDE2 1800 APU? This thing is slow and can't handle the

Solution
You really can't upgrade motherboards on a laptop, even if it's from HP, each model has a slightly different design.
Best option would be to just buy a faster laptop and don't get netbooks.

Put it up for sale on ebay. Use the cash to buy another laptop. Avoid all AMD E series APUs; which you learned the hard way.

Simply go for a laptop with an Intel Pentium CPU which is similar to a Core i3 CPU, but with no Hyper Threading, and will have a little less cache and slightly lower clockspeeds as well. However, it will be far more powerful than an AMD E2 series APU.

The 15.6" Dell Inspiron 15RV is an example of an inexpensive laptop that should suit your needs. It is selling for $280 @ bestbuy.
