You really can't upgrade motherboards on a laptop, even if it's from HP, each model has a slightly different design.
Best option would be to just buy a faster laptop and don't get netbooks.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I figured. I don't do any gaming so I figured this would be enough laptop but IE8 and Windows 8 together seem to just eat it up.
Put it up for sale on ebay. Use the cash to buy another laptop. Avoid all AMD E series APUs; which you learned the hard way.
Simply go for a laptop with an Intel Pentium CPU which is similar to a Core i3 CPU, but with no Hyper Threading, and will have a little less cache and slightly lower clockspeeds as well. However, it will be far more powerful than an AMD E2 series APU.
