Hello all, I'm at a bit of a pickle currently, I recently ordered a new fx-processor (8350 to be exact) and am worried if their is support for this on my motherboard. I have been reading online that my motherboard does not support the fx series, which does not make much sense to me as I currently have a fx-6100. Any help would be appreciated. My motherboard is the ASUS M4A88TD-V

Well I've seen Vishera based CPUs work in 760G chipset boards so I have no doubt it will work. Just keep in mind that if it doesn't recognize it as a Vishera based CPU then you will have to update your BIOS.

Yes, im pretty sure it's 880G, but as far as bios go im a bit of a noob I updated about a year ago to fix some game compatibility. However is it at all possible that I can just install the cpu and have it work without fiddling with bios?
