As the title says I'm wondering if it's down to something like a chipset type etc, I'm pretty new to components and stuff of this sort so all help is appreciated in advance,

Thanks.

They aren't going to list individual GPUs due to the fact that there really aren't compatibility problems with graphics cards and motherboards. You need to be concerned with the interface and the power requirements. That board has a PCIe x16 slot so your good there. You will need to make sure that your power supply can power your card. Other than that there really isn't much that can go wrong. Make sure your BIOS is updated to its newest revision.

If the board you are getting has a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and, as you said, you have the necessary power and bios, then you probably won't run into issues (short of you getting a card that is too big for your case).

As an example, look at this board, under the expansion slots category. It has the necessary PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and so would probably be fine with just about any gpu card you are likely to buy
