Before you buy anything, check with Acer to see if there are Windows drives for it. If not, you may be out of luck.

There are drivers up to Windows 8 actually. It's supported. From the reviews it seems like nearly everyone installed Windows on it. I've mostly installed Windows on a desktop with a CD drive. But this one doesn't have one. So am I suppose to copy the files to a USB drive and have it boot from it or something? Or is there some other "trick" to it?

I would say you could use the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool . That will allow you to copy the Windows 7 installer DVD to a USB stick and then install it from that. Best bet before you start is to download all of the drivers you would need at least for the Ethernet Video and such put them on a usb stick so you have them after the install. Should work OK as long as the nettop has Windows support that will work.

And according to the spec's on Newegg you can add to the memory since it has a max of 8gig. So if it seems slow or you are running low on memory it should be no problem to expand it up to the 8gig it supports. Personally I would bring it up to at least 4gig to give the OS and app's some room.

Does installing 32-bit help with lower RAM? I mean, many laptops shipped with this and even 1 GB when Windows 7 first came out. It's not going to be really used as a "computer". It's more of a TV add-on for like Youtube, Netflix, WMC, etc.
