Cables Just Not Going !

so its my first build and i was connecting the PSU to the HDD and i had the RIGHT cable but when i was trying to put it in my HDD it just wasn't fitting i check all the notches and it was the right cable all the pins matched up , what shall i do just put "a lot of force into it ?" seems like the only option

Sounds daft but they will only go in 1 way try flipping the plug and try, you shouldnt need to use a lot of force

tried everyone single one (6 of them)
also i tried evey direction possible also il test it again with another cable ,
i got power to molex

it worked ! with a different cable i have been putting even pressure on both sides to put it in but instead if i push in a downwards manner it works ,, hmmmmmmmm
