i Have a Spare HDD and as its 3.5 inch in size it cannot be powered by USB, i have a PSU and a SATA cable can i ask how can i format the drive without plugging it into the motherboard ?
i had a caddy for a 2.5inch but i can't power the HDD and use the caddy at the same time as the caddy takes up all the ports also there is a 4 pin connecter but i don't have any cable to power it through that , i don't have any SATA ports on my comp either
