Back in September, I built my first ever computer! Components are as follows:
Intel i5-4670K
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB (2 x 4GB)
EVGA Superclocked GTX 770
Seasonic M12II 850W
WD Caviar Blue 1TB
Samsung 840 120GB SSD
Windows 8.1 64-bit

Everything worked great for a week, and then it randomly shutdown and restarted itself while I was playing BF3. Now whenever I try to play a game with 3D graphics, it will shut off and reboot. This could be after a couple seconds into the game, or as soon as it has to start rendering, such as right as I'm entering a match in BF3. The problem snowballed further. I would hit the power button, it would light up for a second and start to boot, and then it would quickly fade out losing all power (before it reaches motherboard boot screen). After a second or two, it boots back up and works fine, minus the gaming problem still. I have also had some other weird problems that are not consistent in the amount of times they occur. Here is a list of the problems:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Restart while gaming or going into game
double boot
infinite restart and boot loop as I'm about to enter my Windows login screen
power is still running for ~5-10 seconds after shut down and video signal is done
USB ports don't recognize device, infinitely makes Windows noise that occurs when something is plugged in (hasn't done it all week, and may be irrelevant)
Kernel-Power event ID 41 error in event log
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are several times this restart problem does NOT occur. (The "double boot" issue is not subject to this list, for obvious reasons) These are listed below:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CPU-only stress test (Temperatures are nice and low as well)
playing 2D games - Terraria, Scribblenauts Unlimited
Regular computer usage - web browsing, office work, etc.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have tried multiple solutions to this problem over the last 2 MONTHS and I still can't figure out a solution. The solutions I have tried are listed below:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RMA video card
RMA power supply
run temperature test (everything nice and cool)
run Memtest86 (1 run through, no errors)
clear CMOS
plug into different wall outlet
run different power cable to my GPU
Scan for corrupt Windows files (found and fixed some, no solution)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This problem has made me want to tear my hair out for 2 months now, and I'm desperate to find a solution. If you have any knowledge about what this is or how to fix it, it is greatly appreciated. I'm only in high school, and this was my first build, so it really is heart-breaking to have a problem like this. Thank you in advance for your help, and may you have a Merry Christmas.

WTF, I am having same problem, driving me mental. I have reinstalled windows I don't know how many times, updated bios, CMOS etc system runs stable then back to kernel 41

I am wondering if it is software related? do you have soundblaster installed? the only other thing i can think off is Windows security update?? a role back may be required?? no-one seems to have any answers??
