Hi today I went and built my first PC. Everything was installed fine with no issues until I attempted to use the back panel of my motherboard (Gigabyte F2A55M-HD2) I connected both the 24 pin and 8 pin connecters. I don't think the Motherboard is faulty because the CPU fan runs perfect, nothing on the rear panel works such as HDMI output, VGA output, USBs and Audio

Any help would be amazing. Thanks

The first thing in this case I would suspect is the power supply. Do you have a tester? These things are CHEAP and saves TONS of time

If it's a cheap power supply it's even more suspect.

Do you hear ANY beeps? If so, describe them like this - one short beep then nothing, or 3 long beeps, etc.

CONGRATS on your first build let's get R Running!

Okay the PSU is running fine I'll consider the tester incase it's just not sending power to a certain point of the MOBO. Is there anything else that could have gone wrong? Thanks for the help

make sure your motherboard sitting on top of the standoffs and is not shorted out. if your not using a gpu card try booting with one ram stick to see if is a bios bug. look at your motherboard bios rev make sure it at a rev to post your cpu. check that the power and reset switches are on the right headers and the reset button not jammed in. check that the cpu in right and is down on the pins. on the eight pin power port the right cables are not the six plus two but the two 4 by 4 cables that latch together.

What connector are you using to your monitor? And have you made sure that your monitor is set to the correct input? Monitors with multi inputs will usually have a button to allow you to select the input. While some will auto detect and switch some do not and you need to select the correct input.

Okay I tried most of those things except checking the CPU, I'm about to try resetting the CMOS by removing the battery for a few minutes. Could that solve the issue?
