Can I justify an upgrade from a Phenom ii x4 965 to a i5 3570k with games to come?

Hi, I have had the Phenom for a while now and with all these new games coming out i'm thinking of getting a upgrade. In BF4 I am capping out my CPU (100% Usage) and with AC4 I also cap out. How much of a performance increase would I receive upgrading?

I big one with those two games...
You'll receive no choppy frames at all.

I upgraded from a Phenom II 940 oc'ed to 3.5ghz to a stock clocked 3570k, and I'll be honest, I don't notice much difference. This is just running WoW and Guild Wars 2 though, so your mileage will vary. I'm also running a 6870 video card.

At the very least I'd throw a decent cooler on that cpu and overclock it, and if you do decide to purchase a new cpu/motherboard you'll already have a nice cooler to go with it.

I would be upgrading in preperation for Watch Dogs and The Division ArmA 3 DayZ etc, From what I've seen all these games have extremely high CPU Requirements with Watch Dogs recommending a 4770k. I'm thinking long term with the upgrade.

If you have an AM3+ motherboard, you could just upgrade to the fx8320/fx8350 cpu as well. That's also on the recommended list for Watch Dogs. Would save quite a bit of money.

Woops sorry for that mess....
Posting on the go...
It'll be a big upgrade....your 7870 will still hold you back a bit but you will revcieve no bottlenecking in those games(choppy frames)
