I currently have ati raedon hd 5450, it's alright but it's not good. It recently just broke and I'm looking for a new graphics card. My budget would be 200-300. I'm willing to go a bit higher but no more than 350. I would want to be able to play bf3 on medium settings without lag

More about : graphics card 200 300 bucks

With a 300 dollar gpu you could play Battlefield 4/3 at Ultra settings 1080p with 60fps. If I were you I would go with either the cheaper GeForce GTX 760: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... . Or the little more pricey GeForce GTX 670: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... . Or if your willing to push the budget a bit you can get the extremely fast GeForce GTX 770: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

My computer is currently broken, it's at the shop as of now, so I cannot check my specs. I am a bit worried whether or not my computer will be able to support gtx 670/770. Do you think it will be able to?

That depends on a few things. Do you remember what brand your motherboard, what model you processor, and how much ram you have?

I wouldn't go any higher than perhaps a GTX 650. Or an AMD Radeon HD 7850. The 7850 and 650 should manage BF3 on medium settings at about 60 fps 1080p. If you want to go higher with the graphics card and maybe grab an AMD Radeon R9 270x or the GTX 670 or 770. You will have to upgrade your processor. If you have an AM3+ socket motherboard you will need an AMD processor and you'll need at least an AMD FX-6300. If you're willing to push the budget a little bit you can get the AMD FX-8120. However, if you have a motherboard with the LGA 1150 socket then you'll need an intel processor. I would go with the intel core i5-3470. Just remember, wait until you receive the specs of the computer than come back and tell me. I would advise not to buy anything until you can verify the processor and motherboard with me.

The make and model of power supply will also be very important.

I don't really need the motherboard now that I know what processor you have. With that processor I would not go any higher than an AMD Radeon HD 7850. You can get the 2 GB version of it and it should play BF3 on medium settings. If you want a GeForce processor I wouldn't go any higher than a GTX 650ti Boost. Unless you are willing to upgrade your processor to an AMD FX-6300 or AMD FX-8120 or AMD FX-8350.

It shouldn't. You can't get the motherboard model for me can you? I really wouldn't buy anything until you do some research. Search up your motherboard and processor and see if they can handle a new gpu. I would search online for some rigs including either your motherboard or your processor and see what other people are using for GPUs in their builds.
