is there any way to physically allocate ram for storage?

i have 16gb of ram and for audio needs i need to be able to access certain audio files at faster than ssd read speads is there any way to give 5 gb a physical memory location i know i would have to dump it to the ram every time i turn on and off my computer but in essence i was wondering if i could somehow use ram as a storage device?

Hello... in old days of DOS you would create a RAMDISK, I believe you still can... it is simple software that turns some of your Ram into a physical disk to Windows.

If you want to try, use DataRAM's RAMDisk, they have a free version - make a RAM drive up to 4GB
