Unable to install AMD Catalyst center version 13.12

I had Catalyst Center version 13.9 for my HD 5830 GPU and I've been trying to install the latest, 13.12, for my Win 7 64 bits.

However, even after downloading and installing the following file from AMD website, 13-12_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe, when I click on Catalyst Center Software Version it says now 12.8.

What gives? Am I doing something wrong? I completely uninstalled 13.9 before installing this one and now it reads 12.8, I don't understand.

same with my 7870 but after installing it shows 13.11 but the other like ccc version is the same as the website so im thinking its okay but then when i play bf4 it gives me a lot of stutering so i change it back to 13.11 9.5 lol
