When installing a hard drive into a desktop you use two connectors and not one.
Hard drive is now recognized during installation and works fine :)

you installed windows 7 into your 2 tb drive with the enclosure?????

after you have installed windows, changing the sata mode will render the installation useless unless you do this:

if the Win7 USB stick is connected to a USB3 port, either load the USB3 drivers or try try using a USB2 port.

I installed the proper drivers, some extra but compatible ones so no worries there.
Hard drives going into desktops take two connectors and not one, whoops.
OS is installed now :)
